One year into Manipur's communal conflict, over 50,000 people have been displaced, with Pangjang village hosting 100 families putting strain on their resources. The community garden project initiated by Thrive, InSIDE Northeast, and SWEATCOIN has been pivotal, providing sustainable food sources and fostering self-reliance among the displaced. This initiative not only alleviated the resource strain on the village but also empowered the families with essential farming skills, enabling them to grow a variety of vegetables and plan for future plantings.
Additionally, a workshop in Lamkajang village trained participants in organic gardening and non-chemical pest control, promoting environmental sustainability and food security. The training was organized by InSIDE-NE in collaboration with Thrive and SWEATCOIN and it exemplifies a successful intervention, enhancing nutritional access and empowering communities towards self-sufficiency and resilience.

Purpose
Mission: Thrive is spreading a naturally contagious model for growing health, organically. We train and equip communities to create Life Gardens, so they can step out of poverty and teach others to do the same.
Vision: By 2025, Thrive will empower 1 million people in the developing world to lead healthy and sustainable lives by training them to grow nutritious and income-generating whole foods.
Origins
In 2004, we realized the need to improve health in Malawi at an orphanage we helped build. The children were cared for but lacked proper nutrition. Surrounded by uncultivated land, we saw the potential to grow nutritious food. We founded a non-profit, Organics 4 Orphans, and developed organic farming methods and holistic health education. Teaching others to share this knowledge led to a movement for growing health. This approach helps people escape poverty and improves their health. Our training center in Kenya is funded by donations from Natural Calm Canada, ensuring all public donations directly support Life Gardens. Now called Thrive for Good, our goal is to transform the health of 1 million people by 2025.
